Vertical and Horizontal closed loop geothermal systems
We install vertical loop systems by drilling a “well” and installing a pipe loop into the “well”. One loop (well) is required for every “ton” of heating/cooling your HVAC system needs.
We then “header” the loops together and install them into the home and connect them to the pump unit supplied by your HVAC contractor.
We purge the system of air and charge it with an antifreeze solution.
If you have a large yard or area, horizontal loops may be an option for you.
Horizontal loops are trenched into the ground to use the earth’s geothermal properties just like vertical loops.
The horizontal loops are connected to a “header”, installed into the home, and purged and charged just like vertical loops.
