Some wells in Nebraska contain high concentrations of total dissolved solids. These are caused primarily by different types of irons. The residue caused by these irons build up on well casings, screens, and pumps, as well as the formation immediately surrounding the well screen. This build up causes restricted water flow from the pump. It also causes restricted water flow from the formation into the well through the screen.
To remedy this, we will pull and inspect your pump, brush the well casing and screen with a casing brush, air lift the well to clear debris, and, if necessary, use chemistry to dissolve the buildup so it can be removed. We then reinstall/replace the pump to get your water flowing again.
